I'm guessing here, but it seems to be related to a running kfmclient. I
found a 'kdeinit: kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing' in ps after quitting
Konqueror. When you start another kfmclient, you get two windows: one
with the selected profile, and another with the profile from the running
kfmclient.
If it helps, here's the backtrace of the running kfmclient:
