If you are looking for a "snazzy" new windows desktop take a look at LiteStep

The main distro for LiteStep is accessible at:

Other installations are available at:
         http://www.ls2k.org (in the distros section)

You could get it at themes.org but, well they still have recoved from the 
hack.
