The page size defined in PPD is used by kdeprint. You can try to define a new
pseudo (shorter) page size in the PPD file, it can work. Don't forget to also
add all associated entries (PaperDimension, ImageableArea, ...). The effect
for KDE apps will be a shortening of the drawing area, and this can solve 
your problem.
