Hello all,

OK I am setting up a laptop and decided to install MDK 8.0. I installed it,
checked out qt-copy, and started compiling. It went fine for a while and then
BANG! I get an internal compiler error. I had heard of some compiler problems
in MDK 8.0 before so I upgraded to the latest MDK Cooker package at rpmfind.
This is 2.96-0.56. I upgraded everything I knew of and now have:

 [root@localhost /root]# rpm -qa | grep gcc
 gcc-g77-2.96-0.56mdk
 gcc-cpp-2.96-0.56mdk
 gcc-c++-2.96-0.56mdk
 gcc-2.96-0.56mdk
 gcc-objc-2.96-0.56mdk

When I compile now I get:

 [jono@localhost qt-copy]$ make
 make[1]: Entering directory `/sources/kde/qt-copy'
 cd src/moc; make
 make[2]: Entering directory `/sources/kde/qt-copy/src/moc'
 g++  -c -I/sources/kde/qt-copy/include -Wno-unused -Wno-parentheses -pipe -O2
 -DQT_NO_CODECS -DQT_LITE_UNICODE -I../../include -I../tools -I. -o mocgen.o
mocgen.cpp
 g++: unrecognized option `-DQT_NO_CODECS'
 g++: unrecognized option `-DQT_LITE_UNICODE'
 make[2]: *** Deleting file `mocgen.o'
 make[2]: *** [mocgen.o] Interrupt
 make[1]: *** [src-moc] Interrupt
 make: *** [init] Interrupt

I have no idea what this problem is.[ade] on #kde gave me a test to see if gcc
would workon a -D and it worked ok, but g++ seems to barf on it.

Can someone please help me as I need this ready for the UK Expo next week.

Cheers,

           Jono
