I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that a good way to help 
third-party KDE developers is to keep library backward compatibility as 
long as possible.

Or, if we break BC after KDE 2.2 to move to Qt 3, we should resolve to 
keep BC a lot longer for KDE 3 than we did for KDE 2.
