Hi,

I never got kio_help to work on Debian Woody and Sid with my CVS builds. 
Now that libxml2 is in kdesupport I had a closer look:  For whatever reason
khelpcenter search /usr/share/doc/kde/HTML (Debians KDE 2.1.[12]) instead of
${prefix}/share/doc/HTML that contains the installed CVS stuff.

Only solution I found to get khelpcenter working was to

	khelpcenter	# arggl /usr/share/doc/kde2/HTML used
	mv /usr/share/doc/kde{,.xxx}
	khelpcenter	# wow! what a difference with ${prefix}/share/doc/HTML

My kde-cvs startup script used by kdm since ages is more or less

export KDEHOME=$HOME/.kde2
export PATH=${prefix}/bin:$PATH
exec startkde


Defining KDEDIR (or KDEDIRS) had the effect that KDEDIR(s) is searched
after /usr/share :(

I check configure --help, grep for /usr/share around in Makefiles, dirs of
kdoctools and khelpcenter, $KDEDIR and ${prefix} share/config and apps/khelpcenter.
Nothing.  Any tip what I missed?
