The problem seems to be an conflict with openssl. The rpm openssl-0.9.6-3.i386.rpm comtains the following libraries : libcrypto.so.0.9.6 libssl.so.0.9.6 and the file openssl-0.9.6a-3.i386.rpm has the following libraries : libcrypto.so.2 libssl.so.2 kdebase looks like it needs the files from openssl-0.9.6a-3.i386.rpm, which is not the rpm that is installed in RedHat7.1. I tried to install openssl-0.9.6a-3.i386.rpm over the top of openssl-0.9.6-3.i386.rpm with no luck. I am not sure what to do at this point, because the only rpms I have gotten to install are kde-support*. On Thursday 31 May 2001 02:15 pm, Mark W.
