"Running processes" contains rarely more than one or two processes on
a UP system. kpm or ksysguardd in case of ksysguard would always be
listed. Other processes would appear or disappear each time the
list gets updated. What would this be useful for?

Sorting the ksysguard process list by 'status' does provide you this
information as well, doesn't it?
