Hi. Having just upgraded to autoconf 2.50, autoconf now breaks when trying to build KDE modules. After throwing this around debian-devel a little, it seems the problem may be a bug in admin/acinclude.m4.in. The error one gets looks similar to: ./aclocal.m4:606: error: m4_defn: undefined: _m4_divert_diversion aclang.m4:173: AC_LANG_RESTORE is expanded from... ./aclocal.m4:606: the top level The suggestion on debian-devel is that it's a problem with K_PATH_X; see the snippet attached below. There seems to be a bug in the definition of the K_PATH_X macro in acinclude.m4. The definition seems to be missing a few key parentheses -- much of it is outside the AC_DEFUN. No wonder the problem. ... -- Ben Burton benb@acm.org | bab@debian.org http://baasil.humbug.org.au/bab/ Public Key: finger bab@debian.org A man who does not think for himself does not think at all. - Oscar Wilde >> Visit http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
