Nah, just wait for some usabillity studies to come up with issues that are 
'obvious to the user' but somehow not for the developer. If you really want 
to make a KDE that can be used completely even by your parents (who have 
barely any computer experience), than my guess is you might be better off 
starting a whole new project. Sometimes choices need to be made, and users 
don't always agree on what is the most intuitive approach.
