Curious, just deleted all my installed plugins (libs + config + dirs) and no
problems. Even a plain kate from kdebase without any plugins from kdeaddons
should start very well. Thought perhaps no installed plugins are a problem
(but the above test says me that it is no problem, as it should be ;)
