Hi,

Every second day we get bugreports about an annoying width-resizing of
the mainwidget in case of loooong statusbar texts.
Could one of the KStatusBar gurus have a look if the text can be cut in
the statusbar (to avoid mainwidget resizing)?

when I now move my mouse into the window listing the search results, my 
kdevelop window resizes and moves some centimeters. every time when I search 
for something.

System: KDE 2.1, Suse Linux 7.0, i386
