I know this might seem like a bit of a troll, but it's just something that's 
been on my mind for awhile.

Here's an email I sent to the general kde mailinglist, to which i received no 
answer. I hope someone could spare a moment of their precious time to answer.

I have short a question regarding QT and maybe also KDE.

When a QT app creates a new window it takes much longer than GTK, is there 
any explainable reason for this and will this improve in the future?
