another issue is jumping between "items", e.g. words or other characters. I 
had a class derived from KEdit, where you could configure that with regular 
expressions. If there is interest, it's in 
kdenonbeta/webmaker/webmaker/mykedit.cpp (yeah, it's two years old already :)
