not really ...
originally it was int. it was good, but some posix-bozo decided to
make it size_t. that turned out to be a braindamage, so socklen_t was
introduced. there is a nice explaination from linus for this problem 
in the accept(2) man page on linux.
the Right Thing (tm) is to #define socklen_t, if it's not already
typedef-ed.
