Why not call kant kwrite+ ?
I think someone suggested it already.
kwrite is the simple texteditor for  "everybody"
and kwrite+ is for those you want to use the
enhanced features. 

Okay its a bad example but Windows 95 and Windows
95 plus package the ordinary one and the  extended
features set.
