is there working, or close to working, implementation of the new kde 
printer engine anywhere in cvs? i'd love to take a look at it if it's 
anywhere close to ready for primetime, but in that a kde build takes 
about nine hours here, i'm not all that eager to build a new head 
branch just to see.

my reasons are selfish: having long complained about the spotty 
printing support in linux, i'd love to write a little something about 
what promises to be an entirely sane and straightforward approach.
