Hi!
It seems that "pageinit" has to be replaced by "/pageinit{" in some cases to 
make the ps-file processable by gs.
without this gs 6.5 crashes and gs 5.5 displays an empty page

a ps file produced with kwrite is displayed by gs 5.50 but an empty pages is 
displayed with gs 6.50

unfortunately I could not figure out a pattern upto now.
IMHO this it is not a KDE problem because it hits qcad too. the test page of 
Kups is printed ok, but this is a ps-file not produced on my system
