Subject:    Why <CTRL>+S does block a terminal ???

Sorry for being off-topic, but probably the answer is simple.

When typing <CTRL>-S, my terminal is blocked (doesn't accept anything). Really
annoying as in "csh", <CTRL>-D is for completion listing, and <S> is beside <D>...
(too easy to type <S> instead of <D>).
