Yes, it contains a few fixes in addition to 2.3-beta1 I committed yesterday. 
These might be the reason for your problems if you had Xft support turned on.
When using 2.3-beta1 from Trolltech with Xft, try an explicit "export 
QT_XFT=true" before starting KDE.
