Actually if I do that it doesn't work either.  You see I changed the
version number to 2.01, so if I do kwrite --version,  I can tell what
version is running.
Doesn't make sense to me.

           Well, just run your program with explicit path, like 
           .. /home/panic/kwrite/src/kwrite
           Or am I missing something?
