| Here is a little story..
|
| Our research department have added BALSA 1.0 to our Aduva Manager's
| database. I've seen it and decided - what the heck, lets try it once..
|
| The configuration dialogs seems real nice - so I configured it and
| decided to write my first email...
|
| I started to write the email. Nothing fancy - just a few lines, and then
| I clicked "send". It crashed..
|
| I thought it was maybe a problem with the RPM that our research software
| created. So I grabbed the source code and compiled it on my machine..
|
| I tried it again from the binaries that I created. boom - same crash.
|

Thanks a lot, Hetz!
You have saved me time testing Balsa...
/so, I will take a look at another 30 KDE bug reports insted of one Balsa/

I was thinking to give it a run, but thank to your mail I can postpone this
by month or two.

Any chance to hear from Shawn/theKompany about Magellan?
There were some mails about it on kde-user, but I was not able to locate info
Magellan on www.thekompany/projects/

|
| Nautilus???
|
| A K7 (750 Mhz) machine sitting on my left side here, with 128MB RAM and
| 30+GB Hard disk - and it was so slow... I don't want to try it again until
| at least 1.0 is out...

It's clearly indicated in latest (Dec.2000) Mozilla roadmap that Mozilla 1.0
is planned for Q2'2000.
All of us know from real life that all projects tend to be delayed.
Just let me remind about KDE 2.0. Planned for release on September 14 (2000),
released on Oct.23.
Summer (June-Aug) is a typical holiday/vacation time. At least here, in
Europe. So I guess that stable Mozilla release (let's call it 1.0 or 1.0.1 in
UNIX-style) will happen in September 2001.

Galeon (Mozilla-based browser with Gnome face-frontend) depends on Mozilla,
so we will see Galeon *stable* again in September next year.

Nautilus... I like it's name. :-)
But, let's see product first.

I, personally, do not believe that Apple has/had *special* Mac gurus, who are
*superior* to all other people/developers.
If it was the case, Apple could not disappear from computer market.
(yes, I know Apple still has 4% market share in US, but here, in Russia, it's
share around 0.3% (zero point three) )

Eazel _STORY_ that: hey, we have Mac gurus working now on Linux interface.
It's ok, but let's see first what they will offer.
What I have read in press, that Sun Microsystems will help Eazel (!) to
translate its software into other languages (!!).
Can you imagine that? This means Nautilus is written in such a way that can't
be eazily translated into other languages...
And, Sun just doesn't has such experience as well...
What to add here else?..
