Hi Anthony, >Please consider allowing me to pester you a little, otherwise I'll never >learn...! I was in a similar situation to you just a few months ago: an experienced programmer who had never used Linux/CVS/cervisia/RPM/IRC/gcc/libtool/automake/autoconf but who wanted to help. The good news is that I *still* don't understand some of these (no heckling from the back there, Werner!), but it does not stop me contributing. Now, I *have* screwed the CVS a couple of times. But, I am learning. I am contributing. I am having fun. So, I say "Go for it!" - hang around the mailing lists for a couple of weeks to get an idea of what is going on, and then just get stuck in to the code. When you have particular problem with builds etc. just ask. It is always good if you have thought a bit before asking, but that is not always enough to produce an answer. I look forward to your contributions to KDE and KOffice... Thanks, Shaheed _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. >> Visit http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
