I also run KDE on some RedHat 7.0 systems and do experience kind of
random crashes especially in kmail and konqueror. Nearly all backtraces
end up in pthread though. I think this indicates more a qt comiling/packaging
problem than a KDE failure. Nevertheless what people think of KDE will
be what they see when installing rpm packages - if it crashes => KDE is
shit. It does not matter whose fault it actually was. This leads to the
question whether there should be a not only a KDE beta test phase but also a
more extened "beta" test of the packages software?
