I'm having a problem getting KDE to start. I get the new KDE 2.0 login panel,
but once I login I'm running KDE1.1.2.

The file .xsession-errors contains:
/etc/X11/xdm/Xsession: [: too many arguments
maudio: Cannot open audio device.
kpanel: waiting for windowmanager
PID could not get read.

kwmsound: Failed connecting the audio server.
Please check manually if you can start kaudioserver.

This is a Redhat 6.2 Linux system. I built KDE 2.0 from the source tarballs in \
/opt/kde. I changed /usr/bin/kdm to be a link to /opt/kde/bin/kdm.

Following the FAQ, I defined .Xclient (and .xinitrc); they were not previously \
defined.

What am I missing?
