As a side note, completely unrelated but something worth mentioning..

Dell announced today that they are recalling laptop batteries from their 
Latitude and Inspiron models.  I guess the batteries can short circuit and 
catch fire, even while they are not being used.

because every laptop that is on fire is one less that can run kde!  ;-)
