Wild guess: KDesktop tries to determine the mimetype using a http HEAD request
and Swat mistreats HEAD requests? Konqueror might use a GET directly and will 
not run into this. You can verify this by turning on debug output for http in 
kdebugrc and looking at the headers send and received by the http slave.
