Hi,

I've successfully compiled the complete KDE 2.0 beta 4 (1.93) release from
source. When KDE is started up the desktop is shown as expected. But when I
start an application from the start-menu no window shows up, only an item
in the panel appears. This item can't be activated either.

When I run a KDE-application (like kword) from within another windowmanager
everything seems to be working fine.

My configuration:
Pentium II / 266
Linux 2.2.16
gcc 2.95.1
glibc 2.1.3
XFree86 4.0.1

I'd really appreciate your help.
