Hi,
	From the CVS repository ( as of Wednsday night ) and for at least the
last week
I have been having problems starting kde2. After using the login screen
I get the
splash scree and while is is trying to setup the "interprocess
communication" I get the
error "Could not open network socket" .

When I look at the output of the startx program I see :
+ kdeinit +kdesktop +kcminit +kicker +klipper +khotkeys kwrited
KLocale::initLanguage setEncodingLang C
DCOPServer: pid = 9196 result = 0
DCOPServer: SetAProc_loc: conn 0, prot=local, file=/tmp/.ICE-unix/9198
KLauncher: pid = 9199 result = 0
DCOP: register 'klauncher_tigh_0'
DCOP: register 'anonymous-9199'
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 9200, errno = 2
KDesktop: pid = 9201 result = 0
_IceTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
_IceTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
KUniqueApplication: Trying to launch kdeinit.

Is the output message "ICE default IO error handler doing an exit()"
normal ?

For info I am using SuSE 6.4 with very few relevant changes.

Some help would be received VERY gratefully ( and keep up the grate work
),
Con
