I try to get KDE2 to choose from several images I have in a directory.

I go to Kcontrol->look & Feel -> desktop -> Background. In the wallpaper
tab I set Mode: center, check the multiple box, and then I enter the 
directory or several images. I press Apply and OK

If I then go back to the dialog, the configuration  has already disappear and
certainly it doesn't work
