the graphic in the kde2 splash screen as currently implemented would 
be perfect -- it's very impressive, and those who "shop" before 
deciding to get and build it would, upon startup, love to see a 
familiar image, especially one as impressive as that one.

and give it a headline: Unix *is* ready for the desktop!

As to the security of Unix, just consider this:
Traditionally they've used Unix to guard harems . . .
