Yes, I've seen this too.  Since I'm on a dialup connection, I forgot to
"properly" add my hostname to /etc/hosts.  This resulted in ksmserver not
working, and kwin not properly displaying titlebars and such.  I think
that perhaps we should try and resolve localhost, or put something of this
nature in the readme.
