Hi,
(I hope I may ask this question here)
I'm currently writing a SANE frontend (at the moment a "pure" Qt-app),
and I'm not sure, how to implement it.
Should I
1. startup with a main window with a menu and a toolbar, and consider the
scan as a kind of document.
or
2. implement this as a tool, which starts up with a dialog without toolbar/menu,
and start a viewer with a toolbar/menu that allows to save (and maybe
modify) the image after scanning is done?
(AFAIK  all currently available frontends are implemented like this)

What's the best way to go?
