The purpose of Bitkeeper is to be the source management system used by
the linux kernel guys. And Linus has recently said that it will definetly
use it "later" (the remaining question is : when ?!!!!!??).

It's designed to fit the linux kernel way of managing source file, so I
guess it won't benefit KDE as it's very different.
The kernel way is that of 'patches' that came from the large base of
developers and reach the top of the pyramid ( linus and alan, mostly) after
having been through the different maintainers of the different parts of the
kernel.
I'm sure (and happy) it will benefit the linux kernel a lot. But
probably not kde.
