I last chatted to Alan at the UK Linux Expo, and we interviewed him for Linux
UK. I got onto the whole KDE vs GNOME thing and asked his opinion, and I
discovered that he really doesnt care either way. I asked his preference and he
said "whatever is available" - he said that he happens to use GNOME because it
happens to construct his desktop how he likes it.

It seems that Alan Cox is not at fault, but the person who told him the cease
and desist plan. Alan simply relayed the message.

The fact of the matter is that this issue is not going to go away, and some kind
of soloution needs to be met. Is there someway we can get a representative of
KDE, Troll Tech and anyone else relevent into the same room or chatroom.

I realise that most of us reading this list are coders and not lawyers ( is that
spelled right? ), but we need to resolve this ASAP. I saw that the trolls are
developing the QPL 2.0, but will this solve the problem.

Everyone is getting sick of this issue...so lets try and resolve it.

Cheers,

        Jono
