There it misses the -lXpm. Remove config.cache (!) and reconfigure.

When done, the following command:
% grep "XPMLIB =" Makefile
(in kscreensaver directory)

should give "XPMLIB = -lXpm $(LIB_X11)"

Hmm. Did you try to follow the instructions in kdelibs/ksgmltools? Were
there any messages about missing "ISOxxx"?
