The same old story. If you argument like this (and you always do :), then 
there would be no KDE. Our task is to bring the users a relieable desktop
which is comfortable, and to automate things as much as possible. I think
having such an application which monitors the apps would be great, but to
satisfy both you and the others, I suggest something like this:

- A daemon which monitors ALL applications (also console/gnome/x11 apps)
- A KDE application which communicates with the daemon
