Physiology advises to have it (configurable). The human nervous system
can cope better with things that appear gently than all of a sudden.
It's less of a surprise, less stress. Sure, some people are accustomed
to things appearing all of a sudden (primarily comuter geeks who live
in cyperspace).

Therefore I advise to have animated menus in *all* styles (even if the
original ones we are simulating don't have them). Configurable.

Uwe
(who won't use them but knows a lot of people being much more at ease
by having them)
