From kde-devel Sun Apr 16 22:03:39 2000 From: dep Date: Sun, 16 Apr 2000 22:03:39 +0000 To: kde-devel Subject: no more docking -- a kppp workaround X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-devel&m=95592272126700 as of two days ago, changes in kicker have disabled docking. this is problematic if you use kppp, because once logged on, it's annoying to hang up -- you have to open a terminal and kill pppd. but . . . if you open kppp, click on setup, click on the misc tab, and uncheck docking, it will simply minimize to the taskbar -- along with a running total of time online. you can then get it back to log off by simply clicking on it in the taskbar. i've actually found that i like this better than docking, because it lets me have the time online at a glance, which is doesn't when docked. -- dep __ if you go with the flow you'll get chopped to pieces by the turbines.
