Hello there. About a month ago I started working on an AOL client
for KDE. I was tired of having to put up with the choices out there. I
dubbed it Kaim. surprise surprise. I worked quite hard and long on
it. I have made much progress. It is functional now. I can im people,
view on-line, save settings etc. Some highlights include name alias,
name editing in window, away button, and ridding of that tab on the
top. I plan on adding Crypto and more before I am done. There is much
left to be done. I am going to move to CA next week to work full time
on another Linux multimedia project and will be unable to finish this in
the time that I wanted to. Thus I am asking for some help. It
currently is written for QT 1.4x and kde 1.2, but I plan on changing
that to QT 2.0 at least. I have already redone all of the graphics in
the entire application. I was hoping to have my first release to the
community be version 1.0, but my new job prevents that. Even thought I
can not work on it full time anymore I would like to still finish this
project. And so that is why I am writing here. I am looking for
several people to help out with this project.

ToDo (that I would like help with)
    Chat window class
Make fully functional, add all the silly little things that need
to be there.

For someone looking for a challenge (I inherited this class from another
group):
    The network class
Finish implementing stuff like info etc.

I myself will continue working on the main window and getting that
finished. There are a number of smaller things that still have to be
done besides the two listed. I have them listed in the todo file in the
source Hopefully I will spark someone's interest to help out. I have
tried to keep my code clean though out the project and I am delivering a
functional project, though not finished, it is not vaporware or worse
just an idea.

I have two screen shots and the source up on this web site. The screen
shorts barley show what is done.
(note that the kaim.gif is a bit old and kaim2.gif is newer)

Hope to here from a few of you.
