I need to add kjava classes to CLASSPATH before I start
java process. The zip class file is installed in
<kde_installation>/share/apps/kjava/kjava-classes.zip.
This is what I need to find. How?

Dima.

KDEHOME is not where KDE is installed, it is where user's local files
are (usually ~/.kde)

Why do you want to find where KDE is installed ?
Whatever you're looking for, KStdDirs will tell you where it is.
KDE is not ncessarily installed in a single dir, BTW.
It can be installed all over the place, in setups like debians
or redhat's.
