I too had this when I borrowed an AMD K6-2/400 and drove it at 448MHz. Several
hours of kernel compiling went smooth, but I got at least one internal compiler
error while compiling Qt and kdelibs. After I went back to AMD K6/300 (driven
at 336 MHz) everything was fine again.

So it looks you have hardware problem.
