kded taking all CPU time ? Never seen that. Sure it wasn't dcopserver ? :)
Can you reproduce it, and then run
gdb kded `pidof kded`
(or type the pid of kded manually if you don't have pidof)

and then
bt

and send me the result ? I'd be interested in knowing what kded does
so hungrily to your CPU :)
