From kde-devel Mon Oct 18 19:46:12 1999 From: David Sweet Date: Mon, 18 Oct 1999 19:46:12 +0000 To: kde-devel Subject: KDE not OpenSource? X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-devel&m=94027648500567 A Red Hat page about RMS Linux (https://store.redhat.com/commerce/store.cgi?page=/more_rms_intel.html) says: "To qualify as an exclusively Free Software product as defined by the FSF, this four CD set does not contain Netscape, Qt, KDE, and several additional non-open-source packages which are available in other Linux products." Qt isn't (L)GPL (as in "defined by the FSF") and KDE won't run w/o it, but KDE and Qt _are_ OpenSource. I see their point, but perhaps they should be a little more careful with their wording. Dave
