Hi, Once again it's time for KDE's development branch to switch to a newer version of MICO. Please point your browsers to http://www.mico.org/mico-2.3.0.tar.gz or http://diamant.vsb.cs.uni-frankfurt.de/~mico/mico-2.3.0.tar.gz You might consider using the following options when configuring MICO, as they save compilation time / resources : --disable-static --enable-shared --disable-coss Also note that you *have* to configure MICO with "--disable-mini-stl" if you are using KOffice! If you do not use KOffice, then you are free to use MICO's mini-stl (by omitting the above mentioned configure option) , as kdelibs/kdebase (and other packages using MICO) compile and run fine with it, and save compilation time! The reasons for this switch are many bugfixes in MICO itself and the fact that this version of MICO enabled us to implement a small recovery mechanism for the KDE daemon, making it possible to seamlessly recover from a crashed kded at run-time without requiring the affected client applications to be restarted. Greetings, Simon
