Horrible, horrible organization. I have a hard time understanding how you can
thing throwing hundreds of packages in one subdirectory is a good thing. The
first thing you learn in sysadmin is to use subdirectories to group
applications. Hell, Dos and Windows was better. Other Unix admins probably
chuckle at this. No other Unix does this.

I found out the reason for doing this a little while ago on another mailing
list. Easier to maintain PATH. That's it. Period. So to accomplish this they
throw every single package they can into one directory, without the use of
subdirectories
