Hi

Sorry, I know that this is NOT a KDE question, but I desperate need help.

I just got a 18GB disk, and Linux find it - no problem

I then use cfdisk to create 2 partitions, a 14GB and a 3.6GB (the rest)
mke2fs -c /dev/hdc1
fsck /dev/hdc1
reports no error

mke2fs -c /dev/hdc2
fsck /dev/hdc1
reports no error

then I do a
dd if=/dev/zero of=testfile bs=10000 count=100000

and after a while I get a kernel panic dump

What can i do to make this disk work ??

Btw. the BIOS tells be that it's a 8GB disk

Thanks in advance.

Steen
