greetings! i've just now twice tried to attach a file to a kmail message. clicking on Attach > Attach . . ., i get the standard file selection dialog. i scroll over to click on a directory, but when i do, i get this error: ASSERT: "c < nCols" in widgets/Qtableview.cpp (1629) in the first instance, this thing looped, filling the taskbar with itself, over and over; it took ctrl-alt-esc to stop it. the message to which the file was to have been attached was lost when kmail was reopened. in the second instance, i clicked to close kmail when the error first appeared. i got a dialog, to wit: QPaintDevice: Cannot destroy paint device that it being painted. when i reopened kmail, my message was there, intact, in an edit window. i tried again to attach the file, and this time it all took place uneventfully. the system is an amd k6-2-400 with 256 megs ram, caldera 2.2 upgraded to the 2.2.9 kernel, matrox g-200 vid card w/16 megs, kmail 1.0.28 as in the 818 snapshot that compiled uneventfully but for the little samegame lack of a define. i don't know what the trouble is, and post it only in hope that it will be of help to do so. -- dep__________________________________________________________________ 2000 is a number that breaks computers. 01-01-01 is when the millennium begins.
