Yet anothe feature-request:

Modern programs do utilize the use of (I just call them now)
"subwindows", that are part of a parent window and display additional
information. (like the treeview in konqeror or kfm)
Usually they are needed for a short period of time, so the most time
they take away workspace from the actual window.
Should`nt there be a standard-button to fold/unfold these with a
mouseclick?
The button could also be used to drag the subwindow to another position
within the main window or to free it. (to become a floating window of
its own)
