Well, I know for a fact that one could not compile kdebase from CVS ( I have
yesterday's ) if you did not complied mico with ---disable-mini-stl. 
./configure would fail and tell you to do exactly just that ...  I
had to recompile mico ( on my very very slow machine ) again ...
